About The Little Nell

The Little Nell is located at 675 East Durant Avenue in Aspen, CO. It’s located in the heart of downtown just steps away from the Silver Queen Gondola. The hotel was designed by a Chicago designer and Aspen resident to create just the right Aspen aesthetic that would offer a touch of comfort and luxury with a modern and classic feel from the textures to the colors.

The hotel has come a long way from its grand opening in 1989 when it was the only Five-Star, Five-Diamond hotel in the city in a lot which once had Ute Indians hunting, a Railroad stop and depot, and the grazing pasture for the Aspen Dairy, but would then start seeing international clientele, celebrities, and political leaders making their way here.

The Little Nell Residences

After celebrating 20 years in business, The Little Nell underwent a huge renovation which made guest rooms and suites completely rejuvenated with modern décor and the work of renowned interior designer, Holly Hunt.

It has won several awards, the most recent being both the 2015 and 2016 Travel & Leisure recognition for “Best Resorts in the US” at #6 and #27 for the “World’s Best Hotel’s” for the 10th year in a row being on that list. It’s was also awarded as Australia’s Luxury Travel Magazine’s “Best Overseas Ski Property” for the fourth year in the 206 Gold List Awards. It’s also been awarded by sources like Conde Nast Traveler, Trip Advisor, Wine Spectator, and Forbes Travel Guide.
